Combe-Grède

Sound file (mp3) Sound file

The ascent of Combe-Grède is certainly the most beautiful and physical walk to reach the top of the Chasseral mountain. From the ridge, a gorgeous panorama of the Plateau, the lakes and the Alps.

The Combe-Grède Nature Reserve is the perfect place to do so thanks to its spectacular, enchanting views. Unspoiled, the reserve has preserved its calm, its beauty, and its diversity. The Combe-Grède, a stunning cleft, virtually splits the mountain in half vertically. Its very steep walls are frequented by chamois, marmots, western capercaillie, and peregrine falcons. Pick up the path leading from the hamlet of Villeret to the Chasseral summit, and the breathtaking view will more than reward your efforts.
